Attract, Retain, and Develop Talent with Diversity and Inclusion

Each quarter, the Engage Mentoring Executive Talent Roundtables meet and have a focused discussion on a topic related to attracting, retaining, and developing talent.

At our upcoming Engage Mentoring Executive Talent Roundtable meeting, the focus topic will be building effective diversity and inclusion programs and their impact on talent attraction and retention. To prepare for the discussion, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Darlene Slaughter, former Chief Diversity Officer at United Way Worldwide, and now Chief People Officer for March of Dimes.

Some of the topics we discussed include the importance of planning for internships, assigning the right leader to manage the program, and the importance of planning and strategy for diversity and inclusion.
